Education and Monastic Life:
Mr. Banga Chandra Barua was born on the day of the full moon day (Sraboni Purnima). In childhood, he lost his presents. He has passed primary education successfully at Satbaria Primary School. He became a novice under the guidance of Most Ven. Pahorchan Bhikkhu (Mathe). His relative Mr. Fulchadra Barua is bringing him to Arakan (Burma) purpose of education. When Sri Tejabanto Sraman turned 20 years old he became a monk (Higher ordination), then he got again pali name Ven. Tejabanto Bhikkhu in Burma. He returned to his homeland Satbaria Beparipara in 1890. He was appointed as a Sangharaj (Supreme Patriarch of Bangladesh) in 1936.
Passed Away: His Holiness Sangharaj Most Ven. Tejabanto Mahathero passed away on the day of the Full moon (Falguni Purnima) 3rd March 1942, 19th Falgun, Tuesday.
